Tony Stark as God Simulator

Created by Jacob, Phil, Jordan, Todd, Perry.

Our simulator is high tech visual touch screen seen only by the player.

A few of the actions would be Creating, Destroying and Altering.

Other: Magnifying, AI randomly generating(devil), AI GOD fearing (most) % of them disobey,
make them(people) get along, natural disasters, create war/fighting, manipulating.

  1. So the interface would be very similar to the 3D visual interface Tony Stark uses in Iron Man while he is designing the suit. A 3D touch screen.

If we must "design" the actual technology behind the controller, I guess it would have to be one of two options.
1: A glass eye piece, similar to the eye pieces from Dragon Ball Z, that would display the visual aspects of the interface. The eye piece would have to actually detect eye movement and attach a cursor that would act as the interactive part of the interface. (The more realistic option of the two, though not the one we would prefer.)
2: A "Matrix" like brain connection that would apply electrical impulses to create a "waking dream" of sorts. The player could sit in a chair, with their eyes closed, and play the game through thought. The game would be played out as though it were reality, though all inside the players head. (The technology does NOT exist for this option. But I believe the assignment did say "BLUE SKY")

  3. Blue Sky indeed. I don't think that this assignment is so much about the reality of what we can do, but rather, how well we can brainstorm and communicate our ideas as a team.

That being said, I don't see how an eyepiece would at all convey the same thing as a free-floating 3D holographic interface. Instead we should focus on the advantages, aesthetics, and reasons for choosing this "God Panel" as our controller.

One obvious reason is for the outright Coolness factor. Not only does the user have complete control over the simulation, but they also have complete control over how they control the simulation! Stretch the screen this way, push it that way, play it while lying down, switch menus with a mere thought, etc.

What do you guys think about the aesthetics or advantages for this type of "controller"? What other ideas can we throw in?
